CELEBRATE WORLD KINDNESS DAY NOV. 13TH WITH KINDNESS MATTERS 365 & FRIENDS

October 28, 2021 Media

BOCA RATON, FL (October 28, 2021) – November 13th is World Kindness Day—perhaps one of our favorite days of the year here at Kindness Matters 365 (KM365). A 24-hour global observance and celebration of humanity that promotes the importance of being kind to ourselves, to each other, and to the world. Observed annually by individuals and communities across the globe, its simple yet impactful message is to help everyone, everywhere, understand that compassion for others is what binds us together—what unites us to work towards making the world a better place.

In honor of the occasion, KM365 and friends invite the public to join in community, serving the community,  to celebrate World Kindness Day Saturday, Nov. 13, 2021, with a jam-packed day of feel-good, do-good activities, and all-things kindness.

The Bikini Block Beach Clean Up

Kick-off the day with the Bikini Block Bikini Beach Cleanup presented by Bikini Block and sponsored by Menin Development, American Medical Response® (AMR), and GL Homes©. The Clean Up begins at 8:15am on the beach at the Pavilion at A1A & Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach, with AMR onsite providing complimentary CPR Certification classes for all participants. The official Bikini Beach Clean Up runs from 9–10:15am beginning with a special Acts of Kindness Awards presentation featuring Palm Beach County Vice Mayor Robert Weinroth, State Senator Lori Berman (D-31), and Delray Beach Commissioners Adam Frankel and Ryan Boylston. Prizes will be awarded for Clean Up efforts, with community service hours available. Participants are also invited to a pre-Clean Up Sunrise Yoga session on the beach from 7–8am.

The Bikini Beach Clean Up is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to cleaning beaches in South Florida in an effort to make the coastline safer for wildlife, create a cleaner and healthier environment for families and children to enjoy recreation, and reduce the damage being done to marine life. The Bikini Block is a women’s owned/employed company and the main sponsor and funding mechanism for all Bikini Beach Clean Ups. Dixie Manor Sweet Treats Collection Carnival

Join the Kindness Angels and the Kindness Teen Angels in bringing sweet treats and a day of fun to the children of Dixie Manor—a low-income housing community with approximately 400 children whose day will be made by the amazing homemade treats donated by generous community members. All wonderful goodies are welcome and put great big smiles on the faces of the children, from cookies and cupcakes to healthy snacks such as fruit skewers and chocolate-covered fruit.

Additionally, the children of Dixie Manor will enjoy face painting, a balloon artist and magician, Kindness Rock painting, and more courtesy of the Kindness Angels. This joyous day is a rarity for these kids who look forward to and genuinely appreciate this special gesture from the local community each year. Styrofoam toss-away coolers with individual juices, small toy gifts for the children, and materials to make Kindness Rocks will also be accepted onsite, in addition to monetary contributions towards the Kindness Angels in their tireless effort to help serve our community’s most vulnerable. If interested and able to contribute food or toys, contact Janet Heyman Baum at gatorbaum@gmail.com. For more information about a monetary donation, contact Kindness Angels Founder Linda Baratz at (561) 302-2453.

Fill the TLC Little Free Pantries

B’Nai Torah Congregation’s TLC Little Free Pantries allow for people who have to give and for those in need to take with no judgment, all in a safe manner. The pantries are strategically placed on bus lines, easily accessible for foot traffic, near title one schools, and near subsidized housing.  This allows for the Little Free Pantries to cycle many times throughout the day and provides critical nourishment to low-income individuals, families, the hungry and homeless, and seniors who need it most. In honor of World Kindness Day, we encourage those who are able to donate non-perishable food items to help fill one of the many TLC Little Free Pantries throughout Southern Palm Beach and North Broward Counties at any time throughout the day. For a list of locations, more information, and monetary contributions, visit www.btcboca.org/littlefreepantry.
