Local Nonprofit Builds Community with the Little Free Pantry Project
Kindness Matters 365 is co-creating and filling community-based food pantries for World Kindness Day

Boca Raton, Fla: Kindness Matters 365 and the B’nai Torah Congregation have partnered with the TLC Little Free Pantries to engage in a community of non-perishable food to help feed our neighbors and ourselves. The mission is simple: give where you can, when you can, with what you have and take what you need.

Kindness Matters 365 is encouraging their local neighbors to participate in the project for World Kindness Day on Nov. 13 from 9:30 am to 2 pm. The Little Free Pantry Project allows you to determine your need. If you feel like giving, give. If you feel like taking, take. It is a crowdsourced solution to an immediate and local need.

Americans are facing food insecurity now more than ever due to the effects of the Coronavirus pandemic. More than 50 million people, including 17 million children, are struggling to find their next meal. The Little Pantry Project, along with Kindness Matters 365, hopes to change that.

The mini pantries are set up in local areas around Boca Raton, Delray, and Lantana Fla. Pantries are strategically placed on bus lines, easily accessible for foot traffic, near title one schools, and near subsidized housing. This allows for the pantries to cycle many times throughout the day and be easily accessed and restocked by people of all ages. The mini pantry locations include:

• Advent Lutheran – 300 E Yamato, Boca Raton
• Salvation Army – 300 SW 2nd Avenue, Boca Raton
• Ebenezer Church – 200 Ruby Street, Boca Raton
• Fusion Academy – 5050 Conference Way N Suite 110, Boca Raton
• Space of Mind Schoolhouse – 102 N Swinton Ave, Delray Beach
• Advent Lantana – 2116 Lantana Rd, Lake Worth

All participants must wear a mask and follow CDC safety guidelines. The pantry collections include non-perishable food items. Kindness Matters 365 encourages you to come out and support the Little Free Pantry Project for World Kindness Day.
