KIND SPACE Designation

Why? A KIND SPACE is special, and feels special…

This coveted Distinction is the culmination a two-year track during which a school immerses in KM365 Framework of life-skill building and experiential service learning. The program advances mental well-being for children, families and community members with formal education and skill provisions that enable better management of stress and anxiety, improved abilities to cope with challenges and adverse childhood experiences, stronger relationships, the capacity to non-violently resolve conflicts and embrace diversity, reduced bullying, and improved academic achievement. The program integrates a service learning component that serves as a method to practical application, as well as an opportunity for participants to do their part toward the common good which has immediate & lasting effects.

The KM365 KIND SPACE Distinction program enables transformation from people feeling worthless to worthy, isolated to included, fearful to empowered, intolerant to kind.

Participation includes:
•Onsite or Online delivery (complying with school district requirements)•Immersion in “whole system” practices for best outcomes (students, families, classrooms,schools, communities)

•Continuous classroom/school-wide community service projects

•Kind Space Consultants (KSCs) dedicated to customize/implement school program (creation, implementation, assessment, succession/sustainability plans)

•KM365 Kindness Framework as basis for all lesson plans and activities

•Educator training and access to KM365 online Ambassador Suite (mindfulness tools,videos, take-homes, projects, lesson plans, reporting)

•Life skill building and service learning content (plans, projects, online lesson planner)

•Teacher trainings (online or onsite)

•Monthly Continued Kindness Education for educators

•Annual assessment (Aperture Education) to indicate program efficacy

•Student assemblies

•Continuous support to faculty/administration (including monthly faculty meeting presentations)

•PTA/parent workshops

The KM365 KIND SPACE Distinction has an application and review process, and may be renewed annually.
