Beach Cleanup for World Kindness Day
8:30am Arrival and kindness rock drop off
9am Awards Presentation – winners must be present by 9AM to be eligible for their award for both the act of kindness and kindness rock competition
9:20am – 10:20AM beach clean up.
- Act of Kindness Competition: Team of 2 participants should perform and document an act of kindness between October 1 and November 5. The participants will provide a photo or video of the act and provide a 1-2 paragraph description of what was done. The winners will be announced, and prizes will be presented at 9AM. FYI: For every 20 girls/10 teams there will be two winners and two $500 prizes.
- Kindness Rock Competition: All entries must be on the table ready to be judged by 8:50AM which is 10 minutes before the program begins. Judges will select 5 winners. Each will receive $200 and must be present to receive their award
*For both of these competitions the participant must be present and cannot be represented by a family member or friend to qualify for their prize.
*Please give us the FULL name of all participants who (were NOT present last year) did an act of kindness or created a rock this year by October 30. We will create a certificate for them.
*Time spent on: Kindness Rocks, Acts of Kindness and beach cleaning qualify as required hours of community service that can be used towards graduation credits.
*CPR certifications are open to all participants who clean the beach. Let me know the approximate number from your team that would like to get certified. This information will be helpful prior to clean up so we can schedule required staff.
Refreshments, equipment, and KIND vibes will be provided.
