KM365 AWARDED GRANT BY ROTARY CLUB DOWNTOWN BOCA RATON

BOCA RATON, FL (June 1, 2024) – Kindness Matters 365 (KM365), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to the well-being of children and teens, was a proud recipient of the Rotary Club Downtown Boca Raton’s “Service Above Self” grant. The Club’s May 31st meeting was filled with love and kindness as it welcomed 17 area nonprofits and awarded each a grant, distributing $80,000 in total.

“We are honored to have been selected as a recipient of the ‘Service Above Self’ grant by the Rotary Club Downtown Boca Raton,” said KM365 Executive Director Karin Gellen, who was in attendance for the occasion. “The funds will go directly to support vital KM365 programs that foster the development and well-being of our children and teens. We are grateful to the Club for their continued support of local nonprofits and helping to further our mission.”

The “Service Above Self” recipients were chosen by Board members who reviewed numerous grant requests and made awards based on those who best aligned with the Club’s mission of health and wellness initiatives. Nonprofits were also required to provide their services within a geographic area of Boca Raton.

Other grant recipients included American Association of Caregiving Youth, 4Kids of South Florida, American Disabilities Foundation, Best Foot Forward, City House, Family Promise of South Palm Beach County, Faulk Center, HomeSafe, JARC, Roots & Wings, NOW, Propel, Spirit of Giving, Sweet Dream Makers, Village of Hope of Palm Beach County, and YMCA of South Palm Beach County.

Founded in 2012, the Rotary Club Downtown Boca Raton is comprised of about 80 members dedicated to improving the Boca Raton community with health and wellness initiatives, supporting various local causes through volunteerism and financial support.
